Thalapathy Vijay is seen in a double role in the movie. He played the role of Gandhi, an ex-leader of the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS), and his son Jeevan. Gandhi reunites with his squad to face the consequences of his past actions. In an interview with Galatta, producer Archana Kalpathi revealed that Vijay took home INR 200 crore for his performance.
The OTT release date of Vijay’s GOAT is yet to be officially announced. However, according to a report from India Today, the film will be released on Netflix. it is being said that the film will be available digitally approximately four weeks after its theatrical release date.
As quoted by the Economic Times, director Venkat Prabhu confirmed that the film originally had a longer runtime of 3 hours and 20 minutes. However, due to the standard theatrical requirements, nearly 18 minutes of the footage was cut, bringing the runtime to 3 hours and 3 minutes. The film earned a U/A certificate from the censor board.
Fans need not sulk over the lost footage as the makers plan to release it digitally soon. The deleted scenes will reportedly be shared on social media while the extended cut of GOAT will be available on Netflix.
According to The Times of India report, the digital rights of the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada versions of GOAT were sold for INR 125 crore while the rights for the Hindi version were sold for INR 25 crore. This is the highest bid for the digital rights of a Tamil film at a whopping INR 150 crore.

Going by his statement, Vijay will do one more film after GOAT which will be the 69th movie of his career before quitting cinema.
